Rest and Picnic Areas

On this page you will find information on the location of picnic tables and rest areas around the Alto Gállego Region. They are situated in scenic spots in case you intend to spend a relaxing day in the countryside with no particular plan or activity in mind.

BÚBAL DAM

Picnic area with spectacular views of the Sierra Tendeñera at the Búbal reservoir. Located on the A136 road, as you are going towards France, a few meters after the Piedrafita de Jaca cross.

PANTICOSA, LA RIPERA WAY

ARRATIECHO PARK IN BIESCAS

This magnificent park is located only 5 minutes from Biescas. It is in a pinewood with areas where you can rest, eat, walk and enjoy a lovely day outdoors.

RIVER GUARGA

There is a big eating and rest area right at the river’s edge; you can even have a swim. Located on the N330, in the direction of Huesca, there is a car park on the right-hand side just before beginning the climb to the Monrepós Pass.

OLIVÁN THICKETS

The riverbank thickets at Oliván on the Gállego River are a great place for a walk and to birdwatch, in particular the herons that live in the woods along the river.

From the N260 Biescas-Sabiñanigo, take the exit for Oliván, the rest area is on the other side of the bridge over the River Gállego.
