Isún is located at the base of the slopes leading up to Santa Orosia Mountain. The village church is dedicated to Saint Mary and it has many of the features characteristic of the Serrablo Churches.

Constructed originally in the 11th Century, the Church has a rectangular nave and a semi-circular apse, in addition to a bell tower from a later period (16th Century).

The nave is covered with a barrel vault, which was built after the original church structure. It would seem that the vault over the apse was not finished, and so originally the nave and the apse were covered by a wooden roof.

Outside, the structure of the Church is the same as the church at Satué. However, the workmanship is not of the same standard. There are three bays at a height in the lateral walls with semi-circular arches. In the south wall there are three semi-circular arched windows, one covered over by the tower, as well as a simple entrance also with a semi-circular arch.

The Church has been declared a Property of Cultural Interest (and a Historic/Artistic Monument since 1982).
